MISSION
The Canadian Manufacturing Hall of Fame holds as its mission:
  • to honour in perpetuity persons who have contributed most significantly to the economic, political, educational or technological development of the Canadian manufacturing industry, adding value to Canada; and
  • to help enhance public awareness of Canadian manufacturing's rich history and of its importance to Canadian and international markets
Since 2003, a very dedicated steering committee has met to plan the creation of this very important addition to the Canadian manufacturing landscape. Criteria for entry, nomination procedure and recognition details will be disclosed at that time.

We are pleased to further announce that the Hon. Perrin Beatty, President & CEO of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has agreed to serve as the honourary chairman of the board of the CMHOF.

The partnership of the CMHOF and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce is an important link to raise the profile and the huge contribution that the manufacturing sector has made to Canada. We will introduce the members of the steering committee and also the network of the national advisors to the CMHOF which represent all regions of Canada.

St. Clair College is pleased and honoured to have been chosen as the site for the CMHOF. Initially it will be housed in the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing at the Windsor campus.
